Gnomes Around Town in August

August 2026

Friday, 14 August 2026

There is a Friday morning crochet group that meets
at the Holland Township library on Spring Mills Road.

And just outside the door there is - what else - a gnome.

A friend and I went for lunch at Chez Daniel's on Bridge Street

in Frenchtown. And a hollow in a curb side tree was home to a gnome.

Outside the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center on Wescott Drive

there are two rather weathered gnomes and some painted rocks.
One gnome works for the red cross. The other has a stethoscope.

Inside there are a couple of gnomes on the registration desk. One

is wearing a rather floppy sunflower patterned hat that
coordinates nicely with the nearby oversized sunflower.

A second, smaller gnome has a - don't know, maybe a strawberry for a hat?

We used to simply say Del Val FHC but now it's become Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley.
On-site they provide routine blood draws and basic specimen collection for patients seen at the practice.

The lab has a trio of gnomes lined up on the windowsill. And clingfilm gnomes on the wall:

Seasonally appropriate - a spring gnome with a watering can

Another, this one a lady gnome with a basket of flowers

And yet another with a wheelbarrow filled with flowers.

I asked, and apparently one may find seasonally appropriate clingfilm gnomes on-line.
Who knew? Not me, until now. Asked. And answered.
